I would like to discuss if this product will help overcome the performance robbing characteristics that the R407a/POE oil combination has on evaporators.
I understand that unlike R22/mineral oil combinations, when evaporating POE tends not to flow with the gas but rather than with the liquid. When evaporating at or near the 0 degrees F, the tendency to remain in the liquid flow tends to cause oil build up in the evaporator and may cause icing to occur where it would not in an R22 system.
We are presently changing over all of our gear to R407 in anticipation of the banning of R22 for new equipment in January 2004
Any comments?
