Is there a diagram of Rapid Defrost and an explaination of its principle of operation?

Rapi-Defrost is a same direction hot-gas defrost method, which uses the biphase evaporator inlet line of the refrigerating portion of the cycle to carry discharge vapor in the defrost cycle. The X-STREAM(R) valve is specially designed with a separate hot-gas inlet.

As compared to reversing hot-gas system which operates like a heat pump, solenoids are utilized with Rapi-Defrost(R), rather than a 4-way reversing valve. The condenser is operated in parallel with the evaporator as it is same direction, hot-gas defrosted.
